Bomberman is the main character of the series by the same name. He appeared in the 11th episode of Death Battle, Bomberman VS Dig Dug, where he fought Namco's Dig Dug.

- Bomberman is the first Konami character to appear in Death Battle, with the next two being Solid Snake and Raiden.
- Bomberman is the second combatant to lose in both Death Battle and DBX, after Raphael, and the next six being Ken Masters, Kratos, Tifa Lockhart, Pikachu, Vergil and Batman.
- Bomberman was originally planned to fight Mega Man back in Season 1. The matchup was eventually made into a Season 2 episode of DBX.
- Bomberman's sprite in Death Battle is based on Super Bomberman 4 in the SNES.
